Mawley Hall is a Grade 1 listed Georgian house
that is privately owned.
The latest project has been
to convert the lower ground floor areas into extra
accommodation and useable rooms, and includes
the re-modelling of the hallway to make a more
imposing entrance at this level.
Internal partitions
have been rearranged for which a considerable
amount of structural work was required. The whole
area has been given an improved uniformity by
laying a reconstructed
stone floor of natural
colour interspersed with
black diamond-shaped
insets, in the style of the
main hall. Dado panelling
has further enriched the
passageways and new
entrance hall.The
staircase was remodelled
and extended into this
newly formed area.
After a serious fire the coach house was extensively
re-built and enhanced by the addition of a copperclad
cupola.
